I use the same process for the woman, painting the hair, skin and dress separately. The advantage is that you don't mix colors, and you can work on one element without having to worry about making precise selections.
I merged the landscape layers together, then added the woman on a separate layer. I'm not happy with her dress, so I change it a bit. I flatten the entire image, then touch up some areas such as the shadows under her feet. Finally I scale the image size down about 10%. This is an important step because it tightens everything up, fixing any aliasing problems that sometimes occur between layers.
